Recently, you will find that you don’t have to enter the point “.” when you log on Gmail, even though there is point in the mail address. For example, your account is xxx.yyy@gmail.com, now you can just enter xxxyyy@gmail.com when you log on.

1: Sending a Buzz to the letter box, if you find a very interesting discussion in Buzz, you can sent it to your Gmail by clicking the choice “Deliver to my Inbox” from arrow pull-down menu. But ernow, you must join the discussion at first and then subscribe to Buzz through email.

iGoogle: Google Chat gadget, from today on, will suggest you add those people whom you often communication with as “Recommendation Buddies”. Even Google will also recommend the robot “Google Translate” to help you do the translation.

Another new function: You can add those buddies whom you often communicate with into “Linkmen”. It seems that even though you have chosen “just only those buddies who I definitely permit can see my online state”. The buddy recommendations above will still appear. That is, by default, Gmail will invite the people whom you often communicate with to join in Google Chat automatically. In other words, Gmail.com will decide whom you should chat with without the permission of your two sides.

As we all know, because of the problem about the usage rights of a registered trade-mark, Google can’t provide the @Gmail.com email service and has to be used as the secondary choice. But today Google finally declared @Gmail.com email service can be used by English consumers.

All the users who have already registered @Googlemail.com will be allowed to switch into @Gmail.com freely, but you can also maintain @Goohlemail.com all the time. Mail switching service will be provided this weekend. Of course, all the newly registered consumers must use @Gmail.com. After all, it’s shorter. Google said, if all the English users switch to new address, people will click the keyboard deceasing by 60 million times every day(It is said that Google make a contribution to prolonging keyboard lifetime……XD). If every time the consumer clicks keyboard using up 217 μj, every day you can save about 20 bonbon energy.

It is reported by Mashable that, UC Davis has already stopped 30.000 colleges and consumers from using Gmail. Ever they mapped out Gmail to the whole college system, but later they found this email system is not safe and the privacy is not up to their standard.

Jiriz. found a new searching parameter in Gmail.com on Czech language “morph:on”. You can get the polymorphic of the key words and “Be” verb, the plural form of noun, polymorphic of adjective and pronoun. The above graphic is acquiescent searching. The following graphic is the open morph searching. There is more email you can search out. For example, when you search the word “author”, Gmail can just only match “author” absolutely as before. “Authors” will be searched out after opening morph. In fact, Google searching is always supporting polymorphic vocabulary, but Gmail don’t have this “Lenovo” function. However “morph:on” hasn’t been open to all the consumers, that is, maybe just a majority of languages support this searching parameter so far.

Commenting on email reply: If you use email client, you couldn’t comment this Buzz directly after receiving late news email without opening the Gmail.com. But today, you can reply the reminding email directly, and the words will appear below Buzz automatically. So you can participate in the Buzz discussion in any client.

Browsing the whole album: If you inset a Picasa or Flickr album with hundreds of photos, from now on, you can click in and preview five photos and then enter the album mode. From here, you can browse all the photos of the album directly, rather than browse photos after entering Picasa or Flick album. So all the activities can be finished on Buzz web page.

We are all used to finishing some operations by dragging. Why don’t we do it in browser? Today Gmail.com begin supporting to drag files as attachments formally. If it’s Chrome or Firefox 3.6 browser, you can drag the files from desktop or paper files to Gmail as attachments. Even you can drag more files just once.

At last, Google promised they will make more browsers share this new function in future.

Following the function of dragging files as the email appendages, today Gmail.com produces the new function of dragging graphics. You can start using it not through “Lab”. You just should drag a graphic to the email. Also, you can adjust the graphic to a suitable figure and send out directly.

So far, only Chrome browser has this new function, but Google promise that they will support other browsers sooner or later.

To get set up all that you need to do is visit the webpage (link provided below) and drag the bookmarklet to your “Bookmarks Toolbar”.

For our example we decided to go with the “personal note” approach. As you can see here we selected/highlighted a portion of the text and then clicked on our new bookmarklet.

The bookmarklet will automatically copy and paste the name of the webpage, the URL, and any text that you selected/highlighted into the new e-mail. A nice feature that we liked was that it opened in a new temporary window to help focus on composing our letter.

This is what you will see when you have finished your letter and clicked “Send”. The window will automatically close itself after a few seconds so that you do not even have to worry with it afterwards.

Looking at our “Inbox” there is our new e-mail looking oh so nice.
